ICT for Success: Palak
The Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology said, “If you don't learn ICT, it will be difficult to succeed in business, politics or any other profession in the future. And realizing that, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared the vision of Digital Bangladesh. And Mr. Sajeeb Wazed Joy has established 13,000 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs across the country.
In continuation of this, 42 labs have already been established in Joypurhat. The state minister also said that two 'Schools of Future' would be set up in two constituencies and one Joy Digital Service and Employment Center would be set up in Sadar Upazila.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said this while addressing as the chief guest at the ground breaking ceremony of 'Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center' in Kalai upazila of the district on Saturday (April 9).
He hoped that the construction work of the center would be completed on two acres of land at a cost of about Tk 85 crore by 2023 and it would provide employment to one thousand youth every year.
He also promised to set up a cyber café for self-employment of freelancers besides training and to set up a high-tech park there if more 5 acres of land is available.
He said, he would undertake a pilot project to set up a cyber café at the union level on a small scale plug and play system like Sheikh Kamal IT Training Center.
Earlier, under the Learning and Earning Development Project of ICT Department, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave a gift of one of the 24 highest earning freelancers among the trainees in Joypurhat district.

Bikarna Kumar Ghosh addressed the public meeting held at Kalai Government Women's College.
Kalai Union Chairman Mir Fazlur Rahman conducted the function. Deputy Commissioner Shariful Islam, District Superintendent of Police Masum Ahmed, Kalai Municipal Mayor Rabeya Sultana, UNO Tuktuk and others were also present at the time.
In his welcome speech, Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority (Grade-1) Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh said the Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority is setting up Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers in 64 districts of the country to create skilled human resources in the IT sector as per the directions of the Hon'ble Prime Minister. As part of this, the foundation stone was laid in Joypurhat today. Apart from Joypurhat, Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers are being set up in 10 more districts (Manikganj, Bhola, Sirajganj, Kishoreganj, Kushtia, Bandarban, Narayanganj, Chandpur, Dinajpur and Meherpur) under this project. The project will be implemented in 11 districts at a cost of Taka 799 crore with the own funding of the Government of Bangladesh and under the overall supervision of Bangladesh Army.
